It’s been a successful few years for Danosa UK. As a leading global manufacturer of waterproofing and insulation solutions, they celebrated winning the Best New Build 2023 award in collaboration with Invictus Roofing at the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) Awards. The Hampshire-based company was nominated across four awards in total and the Best New Build Award was for a Bellingham Commercial Project alongside Invictus Roofing Ltd.
2024 has been busy with this unstoppable company on a roll. Danosa UK has now launched a new product to join its flat roofing solutions family: Self-Dan AL Pro, a 1.0mm self-adhesive, foil-faced AVCL, offering optimised puncture resistance and protection against foot traffic.
Back in March this year, Danosa UK exhibited at Futurebuild 2024 from 5th-7th March at ExCeL London and with a focus on sustainability at this year’s event, MD Katie Pace talked to us about the roll-out of ‘Green Roofing,’ “We recently supplied green roof solutions for the Radisson Hotel at Heathrow Airport, providing multiple opportunities for vegetation, biodiversity and carbon capture, in a traditional urban aviation setting. These green roofs act as localised ecosystems but have the distinct advantage of optimising stormwater management, energy efficiency building insulation and an overall reduced urban heat island effect.”
“Our DANODREN high-density polyethylene nodular sheets (HDPE) can act as green roof drainage solutions, providing rotproof permanent barriers to building water leakage, whilst transforming roofs into green spaces.”
“Futurebuild 2024 was the best footfall we’ve ever seen and we’ve promising sales leads for our green roofing drainage solutions and POLYDAN PRO NOX 50/GP and NOX 60/GP bituminous cap sheets. These robust waterproofing systems, with service life’s of over 30-years reduce harmful NOx particles in the atmosphere by over 8%.”
“Danosa UK is dedicated to incorporating sustainability principles in our operations, demonstrated by our participation in the Co2nstruct Zero Business initiative. With over 40% of our raw materials being recyclable, we are contributing to the efforts towards reducing environmental impact in the built environment sector.”
