We commissioned independent testing on PIR insulation friction-fitted between rafters and were stunned when we saw the result – the roof performed 179% WORSE than expected!
When the insulation boards were re-fitted using Insulfix Track the roof rig delivered the expected thermal performance.
Insulfix Track is designed to make the job of fitting insulation boards between rafters as quick, simple, and effective as possible. Track firmly fixes the insulation boards between rafters without the need for battens or cans of spray foam. It allows offcuts to be fitted – improving sustainability by using more of the expensive insulation rather than throwing it in the skip.
Airtightness, thermal imagery and HTC (Heat Transfer Co-efficient) testing were carried out to determine the thermal performance of an insulated roof rig. HTC is being proposed as a method of testing the real-world performance of new and existing buildings in line with building regulations.
